I HAVE A FEVER FOR OVER A WEEK ANYWHERE BETWEEN 98.6-102.5 I BEEN TAKING TYLENOL TO KEEP THE FEVER UNDER CONTROL. I GUESS WHAT IM ASKING, I HAVE SWOLLEN LYMPH NODES IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY NECK AND A FEVER IS A FEVER A SIGN OF CANCER OR EVEN HIV? I HAD A CBC DONE LAST WEEK DR SAID EVERYTHING SHOWED NORMAL, BUT I HAVE FRIENDS SCARING ME ABOUT CANCER AND HIV. PLEASE IF ANYONE KNOWS IF A NORMAL CBC MEANS EVERYTHING IS OK LET ME KNOW! THANK YOU

    • If you have a fever it usually means that there is a infection, be it viral or bacterial. Lymph nodes swell in the areas nearest the site of infection. If you have a normal CBC it means that the normal markers for a virus or bacterial infection are not present at this time. If you have a lifestyle that would cause you to worry about HIV or cancer, take the next step have each one evaluated.
